In this age of fast pace, pretty much everyone keeps some sort of TODO list. Organizers, planners, PDAs, mobile phones, sticky notes, and plain old human memory - these all are devices and media that can be used and often is used to remember tasks.
But with all those tasks and things to do, there is often just not enough time. Things fall off of TODO lists. Priorities change. Tasks get stalled.
Now you can have a separate blog for exactly such tasks. If you planned to do something today, but haven’t managed to find will or time to, blog it. Do so on a daily or weekly basis, and you’ll have a whole bunch of people coming in to check out what else you haven’t done. In the worst case scenario, you’re guaranteed one permanent visitor - your boss.
A blog like this can be really useful for recording ideas. For example, if you are a photographer and often miss the opportunity or think of a shot while away from camera - blog it down and come back to it.
The year is coming to an end. It’s been a busy one for the blogosphere. There were plenty of new tools released and loads of people joined the blogging community. Each one of us did something worthy. And each one of us is going to (or planning to) do something worthy next year.

What were the five most important things that you did last year? What were the five most surprising things that you did? Have you done anything that you considered unimportant and that proved your wrong later? Have you started a new hobby? What is the single most important thing you want to do next year? How much people do you want reading your blog by the end of the next year? Are you planning to start any new blogs or add any new categories to your existing blog? Do you plan to travel anywhere next year? Are there any major events, like weddings or anniversaries, in the plans?

Traditions and cultural differences can be covered in a completely separate blog. Pictures and celebration stories are there too. And they can also spark some great community contributions.
If Christmas is not your holiday, you can pick any other. New Year. Labour Day. Mother’s Day. Independence Day. Or you can have a blog about holidays in your country. Or around the world.
Christmas is in the air. Or is it? There are plenty of people around the world, who do not celebrate Christmas. There are areas even where people haven’t heard of Christmas. There are places where Christmas is still a new holiday. And there are places where Christmas is celebrated, but not on the same day as somewhere else.
Do you celebrate Christmas? When do you do so, if you do so at all? How do you celebrate it? What are your plans for Christmas this year? What was your most unusual Christmas celebration?
Blogging is a social phenomena, and, like any other social interaction, it has its own etiquette. Being a young and new way for people to communicate with each other, blogging is yet to develop and define the rules of good conduct. A lot of smart people are already thinking about this though.
The general principle for times like this, when nobody credible enough said what is and what is not to be considered a good behavior, is to follow the common sense. Common sense is very subjective, but that is another story.
Here are a few links for you to read about blogging etiquette. Most of these are all around the same principles, with a few little variations.
