Blog of Andrey Vystavkin (aka jujav4ik) has moved to a new domain - j4vk.com. He had some troubles with the old hosting, as well as with his old name, so in a rather drastic move all that was changed. Those of you who read his blog, don’t forget to update your RSS feeds. Everyone else - help your fellow blogger, post a link to his new site for a while, so that he regains his PageRank score.
As always, we are trying to find ways to improve Cyprus Blog Network, make it more useful and make it more fun. However, we are limited in time and creativity that we can put in. So, we’ve decided to try one of the obvious ways to trick those limitations - bring in more bloggers. And that means - you.
Would you like to write for Cyprus Blog Network? Would you like to be a voice of Cyprus blogging? Do you think that you can bring more information or good writing to this resource? Do you think that you can handle all the fun?
If so, drop us a line. This is your chance to join the Cyprus Blog Network team.
We will also test another style of blogging for a while. More posts, frequent updates, and more personal touch. With that, if you think that we missed some great news, or should blog about something that you consider interesting, please let us know.
Looking back at all together postings and feedback they generated, I am thinking of dropping the series. There were very few posts, comments and trackbacks. There are a few possible reasons for this:
- The audience of Cyprus Blog Network is still too small for any group efforts.
- The audience of Cyprus Blog Network mostly consists of readers, rather writers.
- The choice of topics for Together! series was awful, boring, and uninteresting.
- Something else
Without feedback I can’t judge all by myself which reasons are true and which aren’t. So, I’ll leave it up to you. Please leave a comment or trackback. Do you at all care about Together!? Do you want to participate? What stops you from participating? How do you think it can be improved?
Without you, this is not a group effort…
Config Fun is a blog by system administrators for system administrators. It is very technical and specialized. Unless you have to deal with computer software and hardware on a daily basis, you probably won’t be very interested in what’s going on at Config Fun. But, on the other hand, if you are an IT person responsible for a bunch of systems, you should check it out - there are quite a few posts already.
Config Fun is platform and vendor independent. It’s all about providing technical people with solutions to their problems and making their lives easier. There are currently three authors and more are welcome.
Starting from today, Config Fun is an official member of Cyprus Blog Network.
Slava Dyrdine joins Cyprus Blog Network members. He has been a friend of the network for some time now.
His blog is in Russian and consists mostly of thoughts and poems. Those who appreciate some fun in visual arts will probably enjoy his drawings and collages (What’s collage?).
